ABOUT US
We are a group of undergraduate (some of us soon to be alum) students studying Human Biology & Society at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). As a group of individuals dedicated to studying the intersection of science and society, the Covid-19 Pandemic has appealed to our interests and skillsets. This pandemic has been a prime example of situations our course of study prepares future leaders in science, medicine, public policy and public health to address. We take great pride in our ability to analyze problems with an interdisciplinary lens required for initiating necessary paradigm shifts in public health. Should you want to learn more about our backgrounds, click on our photos to be directed to our LinkedIn profiles.

She is currently working in global health telemedicine with the Bridge to Health USA Operations branch, connecting physicians and patients in order to streamline healthcare systems and expand access to care during global emergency situations. Mili intends to earn an MD/MPH and work in the public and global health sector while becoming involved with healthcare policy at both the domestic and international levels.
Hannah is a fourth-year undergraduate student studying Human Biology and Society at UCLA. Her exposure to healthcare is derived from her experience as a Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor, American Heart Association (AHA) Western States Advocacy Subcommittee member, and UCLA Patient Health Advocate. In the future, she intends to pursue a career in medicine to provide her patients with culturally-competent and holistic care.
Born to immigrant parents in Orange County and raised by a single mother, Chantel, moved to Los Angeles after high school in pursuit of self-establishment. She is a 4th year, non-traditional student studying Human Biology and Society. Passionate about science and compassion, she aspires to practice medicine and serve vulnerable populations, advocating for health equity.
She became fascinated with cardiology and
biotechnology through shadowing rotations at both of UCLA's Cardiac Cath Labs. Currently, she is developing the UCLA School of Dentistry, Community-Based Clinical Education program manual as the lead author. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new things, reconnecting with nature, and all things food.
Tasnia is a 3rd year undergraduate student at UCLA studying Human Biology and Society. She is currently working with Umma Volunteer Project and China Care Bruins to understand the contemporary health issues many children face in their everyday lives and how organizations can make a positive impact on these children’s lives. She hopes to pursue a degree in medicine as a gateway to increasing health education for children in underserved communities.
